Nassau hotels and accommodation

The city of Nassau, situated on New Providence Island, is the capital of the Republic of the Bahamas. This big, heavily developed, semi-tropical city has a cosmopolitan flair, due to the constant influx of tourists and visitors to the sunny Bahamas. Perhaps that explains why so many James Bond movies were filmed, and set, here. It's also the home of most Bahamas natives: 70% of the islands' permanent residents live in the city of Nassau. Local cultural attractions include the Balcony House Museum, an authentic example of 18th century island colonial architecture as well as the Government House, where the stately ceremony of the Changing of the Guard occurs every two weeks.

Once you've had enough of culture, and are in the mood for nature, head down to the Ardastra Gardens & Conservation Center, where over 300 kinds of animals live in a natural and protected environment. Also, explore nearby Cabbage Beach, one of Paradise Island's famous beaches. Look through medestino.com to find the best deals on Nassau hotels, including budget and discount hotels in Nassau.
